How to Register for Swim Lessons
Swim lesson registration is done online (click the link below) or on site at 5722 Greene Street, Philadelphia, PA 19144. The available swim lesson days and time are available in the link. Participants should sign up for lessons that are appropriate for his/her skill level. If you are uncertain, please email Wcoleman@glifecenter.org if you need to know more about what is required of swimmers.
Swim lessons for Intermediate/Advanced Adults and Children
Since swim lessons require close contact we are only able to offer swim lessons to adults and youth who are not absolute beginners. The instructor will not be able to make contact with the individual.
Parent and Child Classes
During this class the parent will enter the water with the child and an experienced instructor will lead the swim lesson. Parents will act as the instructor giving hands on assistance to their child. GLEC is offering this series of classes in 3 age groups 18 months-3 years, 4 years-6 years, and 7-14 years. Each group will not have more than 3 parent child groups totaling 6 people in the water for a 40 minute
Swim Lesson Prices
Group Lessons
Group lessons are divided by age and skill level. There is no longer a make up lesson week. To find out what lessons are available click on the tab above that reads, "Sign Up HERE". Swim team is monthly. Click on the swim team tab for more information about swim team. Each session is 4 lessons.
FEE: $120 4-Sessions for Non- Members
$100 4-Sessions for Members
Private Swim Lessons:
Do you want to learn how to swim or improve your stroke, but you need a time and day that works for you, if so private lessons are for you. Get one-on-one instruction from a certified instructor. Private lessons are 40 minutes per session. The package must be completed in 90 days and is non-transferable.
FEE: $200.00 non-members
$175.00 Members
** Lessons with low registration will be cancelled. Participants will be given at least 24 hours’ notice of cancellation and given other possible classes for which to register.
**On the first day of classes instructors will inform parents if child is registered for the correct class.
**Cancellation of private or semi private lessons must be done at least 24 hours in advance. Otherwise the class will count towards participants swim package.
**Please be sure to read the pool rules and dress code for the pool as this will be strictly enforced.
